Ticknock Loop - Red Map

Connecting 5 different trails, this loop starts at the Biking.ie Hutt, winding through single track as you make your way up Barns Storm & Toms Climb to the spectacular views of Dublin & Wicklow Mountains at the top. Along the way you will wind up through the forest and tackle your first descent called Devils Elbow made up of challenging corners, rocky and technical sections.

Description

After a short climb up the summit road you will reach the first top. Here the weather can be quite exposed as you absorb the views and continue further up into the forest. Edging up to the summit you will follow the red signs, traversing a gravel road to a piece of single track that takes you to the top.

Here you will continue following the track left down Blazin' Saddles. This descent has similarities to Devils Elbow, leading you on a long path through the forest as you ride challenging single track which offers something for all riding levels.

After its completion you will connect with a gravel road that winds you back up to the top where you have the final trail Skyline to complete the loop back to the Biking.ie Hutt. This trail has been rebuilt recently to really encourage riders to effortlessly flow down. The trail is a roller coaster on two wheels suitable for moderate through to expert riders with different lines choices to choose along the way.
