Starting in the provincial capital of Bolzano, the route traverses the Dolomites from West to East, finishing in the small village of Santo Stefano. Along the 12-14 day hike, you will likely see many other keen hikers, as the Via Alta 9 is one of the more popular long-distance trails in the Dolomites.
