Partenza dalla località Piani di Mezzo, raggoiungibile con le auto. Alla casella forestalwe si prende il sentiero che va a sx del primo rilievo. Si segue il sentiero passando sotto le rocce di Fonte Fredda e poi dirigendosi sotto il monte Cavallo. Per la salita in cima si può optare per un bellissimo sentiero di cresta. Stesso percorso al ritorno
