Livigno Valley Map

Running the length of the Livigno Valley are a bike path and footpath which are very secluded from the main road, meaning you can escape the bustling shops and noisy traffic even in the centre of town. The path runs along the Spöl river and winds through wildflower meadows, with fantastic views of the surrounding San Rocco area throughout. The Livigno valley is very wide and the town very long and thin, which gives rise to the feeling of having large open space and expansiveness, even though you are in a valley surrounded by 3000-metre peaks.

Description

Beginning at the P4 Latteria car park head south along the paved bike path, following the Spöl river. You will cross a couple of bridges along the way, including at Val Dal Monte. When you get to the P9 car park below Mount Vago (3059m) turn back around the way you came. The whole route is flat so great for kids, and those wanting an easy ride to get their bearings in the Livigno Valley.

For an end of route treat head to the best ice cream shop in town: Latteria Livigno. The ice cream shop is conveniently located right next to the car park from which you started. Be warned: being the best, it’s extremely popular so prepare to stand in line!
