Snowshoeing is a great way to explore the lovely Val di Federia, located south-west of the popular ski area of Livigno, Italy. Going at a slow, meditative pace through epic alpine vistas on snowshoes allows you to connect with the surrounding environment, and reach quieter places away from the whizz and buzz of the ski resort, like the empty Federia valley.

Description

This snowshoeing tour begins in Livigno, where you take the Carosello 3000 up to just below the Mortier (2704m) and on to Pizzo Cantone (2904m) and Monte Campaccio (3004m). From there you descend down into the narrow, wild Valle di Federia, where you follow the brook back to Livigno.
