Pizzo Bianco from "Chiovenda couloir" Map

The "Chiovenda" is long and steep couloir (40°), avoid days with heavy snowfall due high risk of avalanche. Starting from the top lift of Belvedere, or from the village of Pecetto if the lift is closed, reach the glacier on the back of the lift facing S. Cross the moraine to the left of the glacier, along a nice valley. You will arrive at the Zamboni Zappa Hut. From the hut travel S along the flat basin of Pedriola. On the left, you arrive at the bottom of a big and long gully "Chiovenda" which goes up to Pizzo Bianco. Climb it, nearly to the end, and then exit left and travel around the peak and rocky cliff face. Descend by the same route.
