This is a popular ski touring route which is generally considered to be moderate. It's not remote, it features medium exposure (e2) and is typically done between December and February. From a low point of 841 m to the maximum altitude of 1.4 km, the route covers 3.1 km, 52 vertical metres of ascent and 544 vertical metres of descent. It's graded 1.3 and Labande grade 3. You'll need skins to complete it safely.
Description
An accessible route to finishing the day soaking at hot springs. Madarao peak can be accessed by foot, but skins are recommended particularly after a snowfall. Car pickup needs to be organized, since the hot-spring is far from the ski resort.
