Skarsnosi East Face Map

Skarsnosi east face is a giant bowl with a steep entrance. The risk of triggering an avalance is great so timing is everything. Spring snow in the morning when the sun has made just a perfect 3 cm soft surface is required for a sucsessfull descent. After the steep part the Skarsbakkane offers sustained steepness all the way down. This rout suggest a return on the ridge back up to the top. Depending on the conditions crampons and ice axe is nessecary. An alternative is to follow the summer trail back to Breidalen.
