This is a popular ski touring route which is generally considered to be difficult. It's remote, it features medium exposure (e2) and is typically done between April and June. From a low point of 1.1 km to the maximum altitude of 2.1 km, the route covers 16 km, 1713 vertical metres of ascent and 1400 vertical metres of descent. It's graded 1.3 and Labande grade 3. You'll need rope, skins, ice axe, crampons and glacier kit to complete it safely.
