Following the successful launch of the point-to-point Recce Raid Trail 60 last year, we took the bolt step and created another epic point-to-point route. Runners will start at Highland Gate Service Centre and finish 33 kays later in Dullstroom.

Ascending the Highlands on foot remains a BIG challenge. Trail runners will descent to Land’s End on the spectacular Highland Gate trails. They will join the ultra-trail 60, 100 and 160 routes through Kareekloof whereafter most runners will refuel at the Highland Gate support point.

There will be self-help water station after 8 kays on the Kruisfontein tar road before Trail 30 runners will turnoff to the Crocodile River crossing a few kays away. They will follow the Crocodile River for the next 5 kays before another short section on the tar route.

Once runners turned into Robsons there will be an Epilepsy SA manned support point where 12|33|66|100|160 km Recce Raid trail routes converge.

The final 4-kay stretch will again be on the banks of the Crocodile River, including two river crossings. The RAID MILE again promises the most spectacular finish for ALL Recce Raid trail runners – ‘Hobbit’-like bush tunnels, the ‘Cathedral’ and a new single track through the ESA forest to the finish line.
