This is a popular ski touring route which is generally considered to be severe. It's remote, it features high exposure (e3) and is typically done between December and March. From a low point of 1.6 km to the maximum altitude of 3.1 km, the route covers 17 km, 2402 vertical metres of ascent and 2607 vertical metres of descent. You'll need rope, skins, ice axe and crampons to complete it safely.

Description

A long and challenging tour with beautiful scenery and a mega climb up to a 3048m summit and on to the Chilchalphorn at 3039m. This route maps out just one of several approaches to the Lorenzhorn.
