This Trail Marathon takes you from the Älplibahn above Malans in Switzerland, through Liechtenstein into Feldkirch in Austria. The route follows ridges wherever possible and is mainly single trails. There are very exposed and steep sections around Drei Schwestern (FL) which are also well frequented by hikers / climbers and require patience.
Description
Start across Fläscheralp and climb up to Nafkopf, where the three countries (CH, FL, AT) meet exactly on the peak. From there you follow the ridge across Pfälzerhütte (coffee please) and reach Augstenberg, with a beautiful view into Liechtenstein. After dropping down to Malbun, you climb back up the ridge and follow the "Drei Schwestern" trail, passing exposed sections in a remote area. The last part is all downhill into Feldkirch, where the route ends at the train station.
