Peters Long Trail Map

Take the gondola from Wangs to the starting point Furt. Start running towards the Water Forest and follow the zigzag trail up to Fürggli. Climb along the ridge trail to Garmil from where you enjoy a magnificent view. A varied mountain path takes you down to Alp Gaffia, where you enter the famous 5-lake hiking trail in the opposite direction. A challenging, diverse, and well-beautiful trail leads you to the intermediate destination Wildseeluggen at 2'493m. You pass an impressive "Steinmandli" field, the Baschalvasee, Schwarzsee, Schottensee and Wildsee. The view on the Pizol glacier and the surrounding mountains compensates for the hard climb up here. You reach the last of the five lakes after a downhill from Wildseeluggen to Pizolhütte. Continue further down back to Furt on forest roads and hiking trails, passing Alp Gaffia, which you have already crossed during the climb. From Furt the gondola takes you back to Wangs.
