Grosser Mythen is a popular and beautiful mountain to visit throughout the day. Especially attractive, though, is its sunrise. Even the hike up in the dark can be quite fun, spotting other headlights wandering toward the same destination. It is quite an exciting adventure! Moreover, this makes the view at the final destination even more amazing, as you have not seen it already throughout the hike up.

The trail to the top is proper and guides you straight there, so getting there should not be a problem for anyone with some hiking experience. Yet, it is worth mentioning that those afraid of heights might have a harder time, as the mountain is quite steep on all sides.

After reaching the highest point, it is finally time to enjoy breakfast with an astonishing horizon and a cup of something hot to drink. If you go there during the seasonal time in the summer, it is even possible to buy something fresh in the small restaurant on top.
