Hesitation Gully Map

Great bowl with wide starting zone which keeps the snow well and gets the afternoon sun in early spring. Sometimes a better start is found in the more north facing aspects of the bowl at the col. The run is featured in the Scottish Ski movie Comfort Zones (1:42-2:18).

Description

Access is either from the dog leg car park, skinning up the route or the shoulder lookers left of the route. Alternatively, it can be combined with a ski tour up Glas Maol or accessed from the top of Glas Maol ski lift requiring a traverse along the plateau. Good visibility and solid navigation skills are required for the traverse. Starting Zone is anywhere between Creag Leacach (987) and its col with point (943) to the southwest.
