6km of pure ascent. Starting at the King George Playing Field in Patterdale, the home of the Rab Helvellyn Sky Ultra and Rab Pinnacle Ridge Extreme, the Swirral Grind 850 will not disappoint.

Description

This is a race that will test your lungs, legs and will power in one fell swoop, steep and stepped paths lead to the iconic 'Hole in the Wall' where a reprieve is had running the flats of the Red Tarn Basin before the 2nd and final ascent climbs up to the ridge-line of Swirral Edge, tackling the easy scrambling to reach the summit and the all important Trig Point at 950m.
