In September 2019, Niner Trail Team Germany riders Bernd Pfeifer and Martin Krug, summited Africa's highest mountain with their bikes and rode back down.

Description

Summit Day: From the Kibo hut at 4720m to the summit at 5895 m

They climbed directly during the day, without bike depot to the summit in less than four hours.

Widely variable, narrow trail tread with steeper grades and unavoidable obstacles of 15in/38cm tall or less. Obstacles may include unavoidable bridges 24in/61cm wide or less, large rocks, gravel, difficult root sections, and more. Ideal for advanced-level riders.
