Mineral King Loop Day 4 Map

Long hike from Little Five Lakes to Monarch Lake Difficult ascent out of Lost Cyn up over Sawtooth Pass. Incredible views from the pass back to Mt. Whitney. Treacherous, steep, sandy descent from Sawtooth. The trail is difficult follow. The Caltopo trail seems to follow the path fairly closely, as does the Fatmap trail. The trail on my Garmin does not follow it very well at all. Highly suggest having the Caltopo trail uploaded to your GPS and follow closely. Many false trails in the sandy terrain.
