The Slot Loop Map

The Slot in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park is a stunning hike through a narrow siltstone canyon. At 585,930 acres, Anza-Borrego is the largest state park in California and the second largest in the USA, and this incredible slot canyon hike is arguably the best hike in the entire park!

Description

While the slot canyon has some narrow, tight squeezes and the occasional rock to scramble over, it's considered a very easy slot canyon hike. Hikers can either hike a short out-and-back through the canyon or complete a 2.2-mile loop as mapped here.

Note: there's a $10 day-use fee per vehicle to enter the park.
