Trio of technical Lines accessed off the False Summit of Wapiti Peak
Freeride Skiing Severe
These are some serious backcountry chutes that can be accessed by hiking the North and South Bowl bootpack and ducking under the boundary line on hikers' right. To access these lines, you need to hike to the false summit of Wapiti Peak. The line furthest skiers' right is by far and feels more like an open bowl type run. This line is suitable for very competent advanced skiers The middle chute is the hardest and involves navigating a very narrow choke. The furthest skiers' left chute has a very exposed entry but mellows out decently quickly. These are often lines neglected by those that venture out here and are definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.
Severe
Steep skiing at 38-45 degrees. This requires very good technique and the risk of falling has serious consequences.
