Upper Whale's Tail Map

To get to this particular traverse, you must take the Imperial Superchair and hike to the summit of Peak 8 at around 13,000 feet (an altitude that will be absolutely exasperating for most!). You would traverse skiers' right for the Lake Chute but for Upper Whale's Tail, traverse skiers' left. You'll eventually come to the spot where the actual run Whale's Tail begins.

Description

This is really not worth doing as the much easier solution is to simply get off the Imperial Superchair and immediately traverse skiers' left from the upper lift terminal. The hike to Peak 8 is really only necessary for those who desire to ski the infamous Lake Chutes and Snow White. It's certainly not necessary to access this run!
