Wapiti Couloir Map

This is an excellent backcountry couloir that can be accessed by hiking the North and South Bowl bootpack and ducking under the boundary line on hikers' right. You must hike all the way to the summit of Wapiti Peak. This run is the most obvious way down from the summit. The pitch is perfectly steep and the run is plenty wide open to make some wonderful S turns all the way to the bottom. The run faces Northeast so it also generally holds decent snow. The top part might be slightly wind-affected but the gut of the couloir will be fantastic. It's hard to find a better line in this Keystone-Adjacent Backcountry Zone as this is most certainly the main attraction! Do watch out for a few cliffs in the bottom half of the couloir
