Description
The trail starts right off Cresta Road, across from the Ute Trail trailhead. It follows a gentle uphill slope through a wooded area, offering views of the valley and the mountains. Along the way, you can spot wildflowers and wildlife, such as deer and birds. The trail ends at an old house platform, where you can enjoy a panoramic vista and some workout stations. You can also see the remnants of an old chimney and a stone wall.
The Cherokee Trail is about 1.1 miles long and takes about 30 minutes to complete. It is suitable for hiking, walking, and running, and dogs are welcome on leash. The trail is exposed, so be sure to bring sun protection and water if you plan to be out for a while.
