This is a popular ski touring route which is generally considered to be easy. It's not remote, it features low exposure (e1) and is typically done between December and May. From a low point of 3.1 km to the maximum altitude of 3.3 km, the route covers 528 m, 0 vertical metres of ascent and 134 vertical metres of descent. It's graded 1.1 and Labande grade 1. You'll need skins to complete it safely.

Description

This is the most popular line at East Portal, and for good reason. The trees are perfect for skiing, and some of the best snow is found in this area. The line drops from about where the skintrack hits treeline.
