This is a popular ski touring route which is generally considered to be severe. It's very remote, it features low exposure (e1) and is typically done between May and July. From a low point of 3.6 km to the maximum altitude of 3.9 km, the route covers 752 m, 0 vertical metres of ascent and 309 vertical metres of descent. It's graded 4.2 and Labande grade 5. You'll need ice axe and crampons to complete it safely.

Description

Use the same approach as for Snow Lion. This is the wide slope on the south side of the drainage that holds snow until mid-summer.

Difficulty

Severe

Steep skiing at 38-45 degrees. This requires very good technique and the risk of falling has serious consequences.
