This is a popular ski touring route which is generally considered to be moderate. It's not remote, it features low exposure (e1) and is typically done between February and May. From a low point of 3.4 km to the maximum altitude of 3.6 km, the route covers 420 m, 0 vertical metres of ascent and 121 vertical metres of descent. It's graded 1.3 and Labande grade 2. You'll need skins to complete it safely.

Description

Skin straight up west off the summit of the Pass (or follow the established skintrack south if you prefer, but it's shorter to go this way). Get up on the ridge and skin up until you can see the clear path to your left, or continue to the top if you want some extra turns.
