This is a popular ski touring route which is generally considered to be easy. It's not remote, it features low exposure (e1) and is typically done between December and May. From a low point of 3.3 km to the maximum altitude of 3.4 km, the route covers 498 m, 0 vertical metres of ascent and 118 vertical metres of descent. It's graded 1.2 and Labande grade 1. You'll need skins to complete it safely.

Description

Follow the Arapaho Lakes Trail to treeline. From here the gully should be visible, just above the first, tiny lake. Skin up around to looker's left, before hooking around to the top. Keep up speed so as not to get stuck skating across the frozen lake!
