This is a fairly safe option should the snowpack not be overly reactive. And good fun too! Follow the South Boulder Creek Trail through the meadow, towards Crater Lakes. Follow the trail as it switches back the first time, then keep going that direction uphill. Meander through the trees for a while, generally following the fall line up. You should pass a clearing or two on the ascent, take a mental note to find these on the way down. We stopped right about at the point where you can see the gully to looker's right, although you could theoretically link this run from the lowest of the Crater Lakes.

Description

I made up this name, but know this has been skied before since I did see old tracks. If you know the proper name for this run, let me know!
