If you have a family with small kids, a day at the sledding hill could very well be the perfect complement to a winter getaway in the iconic destination of Breckenridge! While there are many sledding hills and tubing areas to choose from, arguably one of the most convenient and most popular is Carter Park, located “just four blocks east of Main Street,” according to GoBreck.com.

Description

Unlike some tubing hills in the area, Carter Park is totally free since it’s just a city park. However, this park is perfectly setup for a day of sledding. Carter Park "boasts a walk-up, slide-down sledding hill that has just the right amount of steepness,” according to GoBreck. "The hill is wide, but it can get busy as the day goes on, so plan ahead and get there early. The park offers lovely mountain views of the Tenmile Range, bathroom facilities, and picnic tables.”

While you won’t find additional amenities here like sled rentals, many stores in town sell sleds if you didn’t bring any with you.
