River Trail Nature Center Loop Map

Nestled along the Des Plaines River, the River Trail Nature Center is part of the Forest Preserves of Cook County.

Description

The nature center offers a network of well-maintained trails for hiking, and the route we've drawn here winds through forested areas and along the riverbank, offering peaceful and scenic vistas along the way. In addition to a peaceful ambience, one of the highlights of the River Trail Nature Center is its educational exhibits and programs. The Nature Center features indoor exhibits on local wildlife, ecology, and conservation efforts, so you can learn a little as well as get some much-needed fresh air.
