From Jordan Pond, this loop starts on the Spring Trail, takes the Around the Mountain carriage road to Amphitheatre trail, a quick out and back to Cedar Swamp Mountain's summit, then up to Sargent Pond (great swimming hole) and across Penobscot Mountain for the best views of the hike. Total loop hike is about 5 miles and should take between 3 to 5 hours depending on stops.
