This is a popular hiking route which is generally considered to be moderate. It's remote, it features medium exposure and is typically done between June and October. From a low point of 2 m to the maximum altitude of 30 m, the route covers 6.5 km, 118 vertical metres of ascent and 118 vertical metres of descent.

Description

This trail is on Acadia National Park's portion of the remote island, Isle au Haut. To get there, take a 45 minute ride on the ferry from Stonington. Loop hike is 4.5 miles and will take 2 to 3 hours.

Hiking along trails with some uneven terrain and small hills. Small rocks and roots may be present.

Medium Exposure

The trail contains some obstacles such as outcroppings and rock which could cause injury.
