Sitting in the Trail of Tears State Park, the Lake Trail begins near the park's visitor center and winds its way around the tranquil waters of Lake Boutin. The trailhead is easily accessible from the main parking area, so access is simple.

Description

As you set off on the Lake Trail, you'll be surrounded by the natural beauty of the park, with dense forests, rolling hills, and picturesque lake views at every turn. The trail meanders through wooded areas, open meadows, and along the shoreline of Lake Boutin, offering a variety of scenic vistas and opportunities for wildlife observation.

The Lake Trail is relatively flat and easy to navigate, making it suitable for hikers of all skill levels. The loop trail is approximately 1.5 miles in length, making it perfect for a leisurely stroll or a brief nature walk with family and friends.
