A spicy couloir with hollywood appeal directly in front of the tram line
Freeride Skiing Severe
A very satisfying couloir with high consequences that drops you right at the bottom of the tram line. The hike to get to this line is as scary as the line itself. You follow the knife edge ridge past the Pinnacles after you get to the top of the Challenger chair. Keep following this ridge straight to the radio tower you see in the distance. While the walk is relatively short, you want to take your time as you have substantial drops on either side with very pointy rocks jutting out in every direction. Be sure to secure your skis/board before starting to hike, there is barely enough room to put your equipment on at the top of this couloir and you will need both hands to follow the boot pack that has a rope to hold on to in some key areas. Fun line when the snow is compacted enough to cover the rocks sprinkled throughout.
Severe
Steep skiing at 38-45 degrees. This requires very good technique and the risk of falling has serious consequences.
