Hardscrabble Shoulder, North Face Map

The lower shoulder of Hardscrabble holds a couple great, smaller lines. You’ll find these to your looker’s left as you hike into Arrowhead Bowl. There is a wide open one (great for the uptrack). Then 2 or 3 tighter chutes just east (depending on snow levels) and a walled chute to the West. This is an awesome place to make a couple quick laps in cold snow.

Difficulty

Severe

Steep skiing at 38-45 degrees. This requires very good technique and the risk of falling has serious consequences.
