History Rock 2nd Meadow Map

Getting to the Second History Rock meadow is a relatively quick way to get a cool thousand feet of vertical. It is about 37 degrees at the steepest, but the meadow itself is only 500 feet vertical. It is wide open, and has a couple of nice tree islands to ski around. It doesn't see nearly as much traffic as the first meadow. Park at History Rock trailhead and go right into a large meadow. Don't take the first left but instead keep going about 100 yards and take your next left up a short bump and into the trees. This trail takes you directly to the bottom of the first meadow. Skin up onto the right of the gully to get to the top of the first meadow. Head left at the top of the first pitch and go through a quick section of tight trees to pop out at the bottom of the second meadow. Skin up on the hiker's right in along the trees. The trail has just enough pitch to allow you to ski all the way out with little effort.
