Sunrise Glacier Packraft Ski Map

Make your Missions approach difficult in a new way! Catch Turquoise Lake when it thaws but (ideally) when spring snow still connects the lake to Sunrise Glacier. This makes for a big single day, or a weighty overnight.

Description

Approach the lake via the Turquoise Lake trail, inflate your raft, and bypass the difficult, stepped scrambling beside the lake by paddling across with your skis. Then take your pick of steep spring skiing in the heart of the Mission—ending on the glorious slide path that feeds the head of the lake.

Difficulty

Difficult
