This is one of the steeper options in Oakes Gulf. The gullies that split the buttress in Oakes naturally draw the eye. This is the middle option of the buttress lines, it is also the widest and lends itself to good skiing. It's possible to access from Lake Of The Clouds via Monroe Brook or Ammo Trail, though you can also access it from Left Gully. Drop in steeply to the gully, which sometimes can require negotiating a cornice. Ski through the deep gully, through a choke to the apron below. Here, a meandering drainage takes you deep into a tree filled runout. Ski as far down as you like, just know every turn is a step you'll need to reverse. Hiking out the way you came is likely the easiest exit. Be aware that this terrain sits above terrain traps and is extremely remote. Consider the consequences of a slide or a fall in this terrain before you drop in.
