Junebug Gully Map

Junebug Gully is a rarely skied and generally overlooked couloir in Great Gulf. A few cruxes that need filling in and some nasty fall potential tend to keep the Airplane Gully crowds off this one, however, for serious skiers who have already bagged all the classics, Junebug offers an opportunity to get off the beaten path. The line starts by dropping over the edge into steep, intimidating turns. Within the top few turns, the line is choked out by a cliff which can be skirted to skiers left. How wide this choke is depends on snowpack. A few more turns put you in the ballroom of the line. Ski out to Mother In Law, picking your way through a rock field to easier turns below. Exit by climbing Airplane Gully for an easy escape from the floor of Great Gulf. Be aware that this line is steep and exposed, a fall anywhere in this terrain would result in a terrifying tumble over sharp, exposed rocks.
