Monroe East Snowfields Map

A good way to add some extra vert to a Robinson's Neighborhood lap, an option low angle days, and a good route for those of you who like to tag summits. The east snowfields start just below the summit block of Monroe, and drop directly into Oakes. This area is often scoured and patchy, but can also benefit from westerly winds and be a lot of fun. To access, follow the summit loop trail from Lake of the Clouds Hut, and ascend until you reach a long, flat section of the ridge just below the summit. The snowfield should be obvious from above. Ski down, potentially navigating around some rocks, into Robinson's Neighborhood, ski as low as desired and skin out.
