Hocking Hills State Park is situated in the Hocking Hills region of Ohio, known for its lush forests and cascading waterfalls. Cedar Falls is located within the park, easily accessible via well-marked trails, but is best reached as part of a long loop from Cedar Grove (as we've drawn here).
Description
The whole park is wonderful, and in addition to the peaceful forests its also home to a serious of waterfalls, of which Cedar Falls is one. This route takes in the best of the park, including Rose Lake, and can easily be extended to encompass Broken Rock Falls and Whispering Cave.
Cedar Falls itself is a picturesque waterfall cascading over sandstone cliffs into a serene pool below. The waterfall is named for the Eastern Red Cedar trees that line the gorge walls, and upon seeing it you'll understand what all the fuss is about!
