Jakes Rocks: Black Snake Fast Lap Map

If you want to bang out a quick lap on the marquee jump line at Jakes Rocks, dubbed "Black Snake," this is the way to do it.

Description

The climb to the top follows the Deerfoot Trail. While Deerfoot is very approachable and climbable, it will still force you to work for the elevation, demanding some sweat equity to reap the rewards of the fantastic downhill! But since you're just climbing to the top of Black Snake, the work will be over quickly. This short 2.7-mile loop only gains 570 feet of vertical.

Black Snake itself is a short but sweet flow line that features beautifully-banked corners, expertly-sculpted tabletops and doubles, rollers that can be gapped, and the occasional ledge drop. Note that a few natural rock slabs have still been worked into this trail, so it isn't a manicured bike park flow trail. It still retains some of the natural feel found at Jakes Rocks, which adds a delightful dose of character to this fantastic line!
