Arbor Hills is a go-to spot for mountain bikers in Plano and other north Dallas suburbs. This sub-3-mile loop is fast, flowy, and winding as it tours woodlands along the southern end of the 200-acre park. It's a perfect option for a before or after work ride, and the loop it's a great spot to enjoy a night ride in the area. An observation deck north of the mountain bike trails even offers an excellent vantage to view the sunrise or sunset over town.

Description

As with most Dorba Trails, rain and inclement weather may lead to temporary trail closures. Updated trail information is available by calling 972-210-2936, and choosing option 9. The trails are directional and ridden clockwise, while foot traffic should enjoy the trail counter-clockwise. A doubletrack dirt trail also dissects the park, making it easy to make your way back to the trailhead if you have an emergency or need to cut your ride short.

The trailhead for Arbor Hills is located on West Parker Road, just west of the Dallas North Tollway. Highway 121 to the north also offers easy access for those who live in northern suburbs, especially Lewisville and The Colony. Restrooms, drinking water, and a large parking area are available at the trailhead, but plan to get an earlier start on the weekends since the park is also quite popular with hikers and runners.
