Presented by Gemini Adventures, the Desert RATS Kokopelli 150 is possibly the most epic adventure race in the west. As the longest-running stage race in North America, this week-long adventure is designed to test both mental and physical limits of even the most seasoned athletes.

Description

Stage 3 of the Desert RATS Kokopelli is both the shortest, and least least challenging. Just over 9 miles, racers face 750' of climbing, much of which rolls through remote farms and pastures. "Although there are many twists and turns, the footing is good and will make it a short, fast day," according to Gemini Adventures. With the Expedition Stage to follow, Stage 3 the racer's opportunity to stretch out their legs and gather their thoughts before the 41-mile mountain stage on Thursday.

Unlike the previous stages, there are no aid stations or water drops on Stage 3. Lunch is provided afterward at the base camp, then racers are given the remainder of the afternoon to relax.
