This is a popular ski touring route which is generally considered to be moderate. It's remote, it features medium exposure (e2) and is typically done between February and April. From a low point of 795 m to the maximum altitude of 1.8 km, the route covers 11 km, 1164 vertical metres of ascent and 1161 vertical metres of descent. It's graded 3.1 and Labande grade 3. You'll need skins, ice axe and crampons to complete it safely.

Description

Consistently steep for the final 1300 feet to the summit, Mount Ellinor also provides a fantastic view from the summit westward into wild and wooly Olympic National Park and eastward across the Sound to Seattle, Tacoma, and the Cascades.
