The Best of Bruson's Brilliant Powder Runs

Luckily for freeriders, the majority of newcomers to Bruson stick to the pistes so the cold powder and fabulous terrain for which the area is famous remain relatively quiet compared to the legendary lines of Verbier's high country. In this guidebook we've listed some of the finest runs in the area, from the long and committing "Bruson Backside" (which requires a bit of logistical planning before you drop in) to the easy and stress-free "Canadian Trees - Pasay"; there's plenty of variety across these 5 routes. For those willing to earn their turns, "Six Blanc North Face" is highly recommended and - in the right conditions - provides one of the best descents to be found anywhere across the 4 Vallées.

Bruson sits in something of a snow pocket, and seems to attract and hold on to powder when it is scarce in the surrounding areas. As if epic terrain and reliably excellent snow weren't enough, Bruson also enjoys some of the finest views in Switzerland, with many of country's highest peaks visible from the lift system, as well as the famous Rhône valley and the mythical summits of the Mont Blanc Massif.
