The highlight of the Durchgangalm round:

Description

-------------------------------------------------------------- The view while mountain biking to the Dachstein near the Gosausee --------------------------------------------------------------

The Durchgangalm round is definitely one of the "best of" mountain bike tours in the Dachstein Salzkammergut. The ride along the Hallstättersee ( https://dachstein.salzkammergut.at/welterberegion/hallstaettersee.html ) , then the hard climb through the mystical Echerntal with its waterfalls and the view from above, the super cosy Rossalm with delicacies from our own farm, the majestic Dachstein at the front of the Gosausee ( https://dachstein.salzkammergut.at/welterberegion/gosausee.html ) - all this makes the hearts of us mountain bikers beat faster. And surely everyone will find their own personal highlight on the Durchgangalm circuit.

We start from the car park in front of the Agathawirt in St. Agatha (Bad Goisern) and enter small piece on the B145 direction Pötschnpass. At the first possibility we turn turn right! Continue towards the village of 'Au'. Turn left at the first entrance to 'Sarstein' and continue straight over the first crossing. At the second crossing turn left in the direction of 'Au'. Undersea. From now on we follow the signposting cycle path 'R2' which leads us to the Hallstättersee along the road to Obertraun. From 'Obertraun' we drive along the road to Hallstatt- at the gas station we turn left. Afterwards we follow the signs 'Grubenalm'. From now on a long ascent awaits us, during which we will overcome 1,000 meters of altitude difference. Afterwards we follow the signposting 'Durchgang Alm'. After a short descent we reach The Rossalm. Here is the first stop. With slight inclines we continue in the direction of Grubenalm' from where we reach the 'Ebenalm' after a rapid descent. Enjoy here we enjoy the view of the front Gosausee and the Gosau glacier! Along the Gosaubach we're heading for Gosau. Downhill it goes now a piece on the B166 direction 'Gosauzwang'. From 'Gosauzwang' it goes along the Hallstättersee in the direction of Steeg (Bad Goisern). From Steeg we turn left in the village of 'Au' after the 'Gasthof Post' in the direction of St. Agatha Wirt' in and we are already back at the starting point!
