Should the 5 and 5a get too crowded (especially in the afternoon), it can be made shorter by taking the slightly steeper X8. It connects both slopes and heads through a wooden area. It is not particularly long, but fairly steep and fun. Be aware of tree stumps and be careful when getting back to slope 5a. The entry of X8 is at a left hand turn on slope 5 and enters slope 5a, also in a left hand turn.
