The hike starts at the church in the centre of Sölden. You will start on a trail situated just behind the church, the trail leads left, up a steep slope to the small mountain town of Plöden. When you reach a small lake, take the path just in front of it which leads left into the forest. From here follow the "Leiterberg Trail". After some time the trail meets the Hochsöldenstraße, when you reach this point take a sharp left and after a few meters turn right into the forest. This trail then leads to Gampe Thaya which is surrounded by gorgeous alpine meadow. Don't forget cash as the hut DOES NOT take card payment.
