Bettelwurf Umrundung

Alpines Traillaufvergnügen auf vergessenen Pfaden und mörderischen Downhills Starting point of the loop around the „Bettelwürfe“ is at the Hinterhornalm, which you can reach by car. Just a few minutes after the start youll see already Walder Alm with the Karwendel main range in the backdrop. From there you’ll dive into the deepest Karwendel on the Knappensteig down to Vomper Loch. You’ll feel like ypu are in the middle of nowhere, also because you won’t have cell reception and even the gps watch will be challenged by the remoteness of this trail. Reaching the Vomper Loch you’ll have to climb up till you reach Überschalljoch and then close to that the Hallerangeralm and the Hallerangerhaus, where you can already see your climb up to Lafatscher Joch and the big climbing wall in direction west, where climbing icons like David Lama where going steep. Reaching Lafatscher Joch the climbing is almost done, but the trail gets more technical. The traverse to Bettelwurfhütte is still ok, but the downhill will let drop your energy levels, if you didn’t manage them well. After the downhill there is still a stretch traversing east, which has not really challenging parts but regarding to what you’ve already run it can take longer than you expect. So think about to take enough water and food with you on this dream loop!
